Rishab Shetty, wife Pragathi Shetty perform Lakshmi Puja and Satyanarayana Puja at home

Actor-filmmaker Rishab Shetty and his wife Pragathi Shetty recently came together for a special devotional ceremony at home, celebrating Lakshmi Puja and Satyanarayana Puja with their family.

Pragathi shared pictures from the ceremony on social media, capturing moments from the traditional celebrations. Sharing the images, she wrote, “Where faith feels deeper, family feels closer, and every blessing feels like a gift.”

Rishab and Pragathi were dressed traditionally for the occasion. Rishab chose a classic white ensemble, while Pragathi wore a rich purple silk saree accessorised with traditional gold jewellery. The couple posed together in front of a beautifully decorated puja setup featuring flowers, lamps and offerings.

The ceremony brought together two important devotional traditions. Lakshmi Puja is performed to seek blessings associated with prosperity and abundance, while Satyanarayana Puja is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is traditionally observed as a prayer for well-being and blessings.

For Rishab, such celebrations are also closely connected to his larger relationship with Karnataka's cultural traditions. The actor-filmmaker has frequently drawn from regional folklore, customs and heritage in his work, with his storytelling often reflecting the cultural landscape of the region.

Rishab is best known for Kantara, the pan-Indian blockbuster that brought Karnataka's folklore and traditions to a much wider audience. His connection with Indian traditions has also extended beyond his films.

The couple recently visited the renowned Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, where they offered prayers and sought blessings.

According to sources close to the actor, the visit came after Rishab and Pragathi received a special invitation from the Travancore Royal Family. During their time in Thiruvananthapuram, they were welcomed at the residence of the royal family and met Her Highness Padma Shri Dr. Aswathi Thirunal Gowri Lakshmi Bayi Thampuratty, along with her sons, Prince Marthanda Varma and Prince Aditya Varma.

The couple also spent time with members of the family during their visit, which brought together their shared interests in cinema, culture, tradition and spirituality.

Speaking about the experience, Rishab said Kerala has always held a special place in his heart and described the visit as a memorable one. He also spoke about the importance of experiencing and learning about India's traditions and heritage beyond the world of cinema.

For Rishab and Pragathi, their recent devotional gatherings continue to reflect a personal connection with faith, family and India's cultural traditions.
