Master Mahendran’s Survival Thriller ‘Pulse’ to Release in Theatres on November 20

T-Series South, which is associated with the film, shared the release date poster on social media. The announcement read, “And the wait is finally over.... We are all set to hit the theatres on November 20th. #Pulse #November20.”

Written and directed by Nawin Ghanesh, who previously helmed ECHO, the film is produced by Azhagarraj Jayabalan under the banner of Global Pictures.

The ensemble cast includes Master Mahendran, Rishika Rajveer, R. V. Udayakumar, Livingston, Kumki Ashwin, Cool Suresh, KPY Sethu and KPY Sarath, among others.

According to sources close to the production, Pulse has been conceived as an intense survival thriller that explores a significant social issue against the backdrop of government hospitals. Further details about the storyline and the specific issue addressed in the film have not been disclosed.

The film has been shot primarily in Chennai, with key sequences filmed in Pollachi, Sholingur and Arakkonam.

Mahendran, who drew attention for playing the younger version of Bhavani in Vijay’s Master, takes on the lead role in the upcoming thriller. Sources associated with the project suggest that the actor has undertaken considerable preparation for his performance.

The technical team includes Abhishek AR, who has composed the music, and cinematographer Ravi Varma. Deepak is handling the editing, while Natraj is responsible for art direction. Dastha has choreographed the dance sequences, Bharathi has designed the costumes, and BM Sundar has served as the line producer.

The film’s soundtrack comprises three tracks spanning different musical styles, with the project attracting T-Series’ attention for a collaboration.

The post-production work on Pulse is reportedly nearing completion ahead of its November theatrical release.
