Hollywood star Dwayne Johnson has shared a look at the powerful off-road pickup truck he has been driving for the past few months while working on his latest production, describing it as a “helluva ride”.

The actor posted a video of the truck on Instagram and spoke about his experience behind the wheel, revealing that he recently drove more than 500 miles in a single journey.

Johnson said he had never previously driven a Ram pickup, despite friends repeatedly encouraging him to try one. The vehicle was provided to him while he was working on his current production, and he said he had spent several months getting familiar with it.

“All right, this one is for my fellow wild and crazy pickup truck lovers like myself. I know you'll appreciate this one,” Johnson said in the video.

He went on to highlight the truck's performance, citing its 777-horsepower output and an advertised zero-to-60 mph time of 3.5 seconds. Johnson joked that he had not officially tested the acceleration but claimed he had unofficially seen a quicker time.

The actor also revealed that he had taken the truck off-road and had some fun in the mud before embarking on his long drive.

“I put 500, over 500 miles on this truck last night. I got in four o'clock in the morning. Hell of a ride on the road,” he said.

Johnson also showed off the vehicle's interior, pointing out its design details and comfort for extended journeys. He highlighted the aggressive-looking hood, red detailing and console while praising the truck's pickup and overall performance.

In his Instagram caption, Johnson wrote that he had driven the vehicle for months and recently taken it on a roughly 500-mile trip along I-85.

“Been driving her for months now - helluva ride. Just drove her up I-85, straight shot 500 miles. Smooth and very fast (fastest off road truck ever made),” he wrote.

Johnson thanked the company for lending him the truck during filming and said it was now being returned.

He also hinted that he may be considering another vehicle, ending his post by asking for help with his research and joking that it might be “Tungsten time for the Rock.”
