The Mumbai Crime Branch has identified extortion, establishing gang dominance and spreading fear as the suspected motives behind the firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff.
According to investigators, the accused allegedly involved in the incident had links to the organised crime syndicate and carried out the attack to strengthen the gang’s influence while pursuing financial gains through extortion.
The Crime Branch suspects that the firing was not an isolated act but part of a broader conspiracy intended to intimidate people and establish the gang’s presence. Investigators allege that illegal firearms were used in the planned attack on the actor.
The probe has also pointed to a possible inter-state network coordinating activities across locations, including Mumbai and Delhi.
## Probe Examines Movement of Two Arrested Women
Investigators are also examining the movements of two women, identified as Babita and Radha, who were arrested in connection with the firing incident.
Earlier, Crime Branch officials said they were investigating whether the women had conducted reconnaissance in Mumbai’s Bandra Bandstand area, where several prominent film personalities, including actor Salman Khan, reside.
According to a Crime Branch official, the two women visited the locality after arriving in Mumbai. Investigators are examining the purpose of their visit and whether they surveyed the residences of film personalities in the area.
The information about their movements reportedly emerged from an analysis of mobile phones and other technical evidence gathered during the investigation.
However, investigators have yet to establish whether the visit was connected to any plan targeting actors or other prominent personalities.
## Investigation Continues
The Crime Branch is continuing to examine the alleged links between the accused, the suspected criminal conspiracy and the wider network believed to have coordinated activities across state lines.
The suspected motives and alleged involvement of gang members remain part of the ongoing investigation. Further details are awaited as investigators analyse the available evidence and establish the roles of those arrested.
