The Mumbai Crime Branch is investigating whether two women arrested in connection with the firing at Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s car conducted reconnaissance in the Bandra Bandstand area.

The women, identified as Babita and Radha, reportedly visited the locality after arriving in Mumbai. Investigators are examining the purpose of their visit and whether they surveyed film personalities' residences as part of a possible criminal conspiracy.

According to a Crime Branch official, details of the women’s movements emerged from an analysis of their mobile phones and other technical evidence. However, investigators have yet to establish whether the visit was connected to any potential plan targeting actors or other prominent individuals.

Police Examine Links to Absconding Accused

The Crime Branch is also probing the alleged links between the two women and Anil Pandit, who remains absconding in the case.

Police said the women were in contact with Pandit and that they obtained their remand to question them further about information that emerged during the investigation.

Officials also said evidence recovered from the women’s mobile phones indicated that they were aware of the purpose of their visit to Mumbai. Investigators are continuing to examine what that purpose was and whether it was connected to the firing incident.

Possible Local Assistance Under Investigation

Investigators are examining whether the accused, most of whom are suspected to be originally from Haryana, received assistance from a local contact in Mumbai.

The Crime Branch suspects that a person based in the city may have helped members of the alleged network execute their plan and is working to identify and trace the individual.

According to the police, eight of the 11 people arrested in the case were in direct contact with Pandit, whom investigators have identified as the alleged main accused.

The investigation is focused on establishing the individual roles of those arrested and determining how the suspected network coordinated its activities.

Suspect Detained in Indore

Earlier, the Mumbai Crime Branch, working with Madhya Pradesh Police, detained a suspect in Indore over allegations of providing logistical and financial support to a network linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in connection with the October 18 firing incident.

Indore Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajesh Dandotia confirmed that the detention took place during a joint operation involving the Mumbai and Indore Crime Branch teams.

The detention reportedly brought the total number of people apprehended in the case to 11.

The investigation remains underway, with police continuing to examine the alleged conspiracy, the links among the accused and the possible involvement of additional individuals.
