Amitabh Bachchan Reveals Why He Watches Rohit Sharma’s Wife Ritika Sajdeh During His Matches

The revelation came during a cricket-related question on the hot seat of *Kaun Banega Crorepati 18*, when contestant Sonali spoke openly about her admiration for Rohit Sharma and jokingly said that she considered herself his wife.

“Sir, main ek Rohit paglu hoon aur unhe dekhna mera bohot bada sapna hain aur main samajhti hoon ki main unki patni hoon,” she said.

Responding playfully, Bachchan told her that her admiration for the cricketer was evident and joked that he would pass the message on to Rohit.

“Lagta hain bohot prem hain aapko unse, unko batayenge hum. Hum bolenge ki aap unki patni banane aayi thi,” he said.

Bachchan then opened up about his own admiration for the Indian cricketer, revealing that Rohit is among his favourites and that the two have spoken personally on several occasions.

“Lekin voh humare bohot heen pasandida hain aur hume bohot heen ache lagte hain aur unse kahi baar vyaktigat rup mein baat bhi kar chukhe hain. Jabhi voh khelte hain hum unko dekhte heen hain,” he said.

He went on to share a particularly sweet observation involving Ritika Sajdeh. According to Bachchan, whenever Rohit is playing, he sometimes finds himself looking towards Ritika in the stands because she keeps her fingers crossed while watching her husband compete.

“Lekin hum stadium main unke patni ke taraf dekhte hain kyuki unke fingers crossed hote hain humesha jab Rohitji khel rahe hote hain,” he said.

Bachchan said the gesture caught his attention and prompted him to ask Ritika about it. She reportedly told him that she had been doing the same even before she and Rohit were married.

“Toh humko ascharya hua iske baare mein toh humne unse pucha iske baare mein toh unhone kaha, ki haa jabhi unki shadi nahi bhi hui thi tabse unki patni aise fingers crossed rakhti hain jab voh field pe utarti hain joh bohot heen achi baat hain,” he added.

Rohit Sharma is also currently hosting *Family Full House*, which airs on Sony Entertainment Television.
