Soha Ali Khan Celebrates Daughter Inaaya’s Ninth Birthday With Heartfelt Note About Their Bond

Looking back at the day Inaaya was born, Soha joked about how the bond between a mother and daughter does not simply end after childbirth.

“Nine years ago, we cut the umbilical cord. But apparently, you can’t actually get rid of your mother that easily,” Soha wrote on Instagram.

She went on to reference something she had read about the biological connection between mothers and children during pregnancy, noting that cells can cross the placenta in both directions and may remain in the other person for years.

“So here we are, nine years later: still connected haha!! You can't roll your eyes at that! (Or can you),” she added.

The *Rang De Basanti* actress concluded the post by wishing Inaaya on her ninth birthday and shared several photographs from the celebrations.

In one picture, Inaaya can be seen giving her mother a kiss on the cheek. Another shows the birthday girl posing with Soha and her grandmother, veteran actress Sharmila Tagore. Soha also shared a separate photograph with her mother.

Inaaya's father, actor Kunal Kemmu, also marked the occasion with a special birthday post. He shared a video of himself playing the guitar and singing for his daughter as she watched with a smile.

The video captured a tender father-daughter moment, with Inaaya eventually embracing and kissing Kunal. Sharing the clip on Instagram, the actor wrote, “Happy Birthday my Inni Boo.”

Soha and Kunal married in 2015 and welcomed Inaaya in September 2017. The couple has regularly shared glimpses of their family life and their daughter on social media over the years.
