‘Jailer 2’ Actress Mirnaa Reveals Hrithik Roshan Was Her Childhood Crush

Taking to Instagram, Mirnaa expressed her admiration for the actor following their collaboration in the film, in which Roshan appears in a cameo.

“A childhood crush, a hero I’ve always been in awe of, and now, the surreal feeling of sharing screen space with him!” she wrote.

Reflecting on the experience, the actress said working with Roshan was particularly memorable because she also got to know him beyond his public image as a superstar.

“Working with @hrithikroshan on #Jailer2 was truly special. And getting to know the person behind the superstar made it even more beautiful. So sweet, so humble, so down to earth. My admiration and respect for him have only multiplied! Some moments are just once-in-a-lifetime. This is one of them,” she added.

This is not the first time Mirnaa has expressed her gratitude for being part of Jailer 2. The actress recently shared a note thanking Rajinikanth, director Nelson Dilipkumar and production house Sun Pictures for the opportunity to work on the film.

“One Sun. One Moon. One #Superstar. Thank you for making #Jailer2 a MEGA BLOCKBUSTER. Thank you @rajinikanth sir for blessing me with a life I’ve wished for. Thank you my dearest director Nelson Dilipkumar sir for making me a part of the Jailer canvas and all the trust you’ve had on me. Thank you @sunpictures for being the best production house,” she wrote.

A day before the film’s release, Mirnaa had also shared a photograph with Rajinikanth, expressing her excitement about working with the veteran actor again and urging audiences to watch the film in theatres.

Jailer 2 has also received praise from several members of the film industry. Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh shared his reaction on X after watching the film, applauding Rajinikanth’s screen presence and the work of the team.

During the interval, Deshmukh described the film as a “Maha Blockbuster” and praised the actor’s screen presence, while congratulating Nelson and the rest of the team.

After the screening, he shared another post, writing, “B L O C K B U S T E R! Had such a great outing !!! I have clapped, whistled and cheered at every entry- it was a celebration in the theatre - superstardom thy name RAJNI sir …. #Jailer2.”

Actor Kamal Haasan also congratulated Rajinikanth, director Nelson Dilipkumar, music composer Anirudh Ravichander and Sun Pictures following the film’s release. Nelson responded by thanking Haasan for his wishes.

National Award-winning actor Dhanush was among the other stars to praise the film. After watching its first-day-first-show screening, he described Jailer 2 as a must-watch and a treat for Rajinikanth’s fans.

For Mirnaa, however, the film has offered an especially memorable experience: the opportunity to work alongside a childhood favourite while sharing the screen with one of Indian cinema’s most celebrated stars.
