Actor Ajay Devgn has spoken about the importance of music to the *Drishyam* franchise as the complete soundtrack of *Drishyam: The Conclusion* has now been released.
Devgn said the music has consistently played an important storytelling role across the series, helping convey the emotions surrounding Vijay Salgaonkar and his family.
"The music of Drishyam has always been a character in itself. It brings out the emotions and connects audiences more deeply with the story. It remains an important part of the franchise," Devgn said.
The soundtrack has been completed with the release of "Daastaan: The Drishyam Recap", performed by Sunidhi Chauhan. The track revisits the major events of *Drishyam* and *Drishyam 2*, taking listeners through Vijay Salgaonkar's journey ahead of the franchise's concluding chapter.
The song reflects on the fear, decisions, consequences and sacrifices experienced by Vijay and his family throughout the story.
Chauhan said the song presented a different challenge because it had to encompass the emotional journey of the characters rather than focus on a single moment.
"'Daastaan: The Drishyam Recap' was special because the song carries so much of the story with it," she said, adding that she approached the recording as though the vocals were guiding listeners through the characters' memories.
The album brings together composers Ravi Basrur, Rochak Kohli and KARMA, with each contributing a different musical style to the soundtrack.
Among the other tracks are Siddharth Basrur's intense "Vingansa", Lucky Ali's soulful "Muskura Do" and KARMA's "Game Over".
"Vingansa", composed by Ravi Basrur, written by Aamil Keeyan Khan and performed by Siddharth Basrur, explores the darker side of Vijay's journey.
"Muskura Do", composed by Rochak Kohli with lyrics by Manoj Muntashir and vocals by Lucky Ali, focuses more closely on the emotional and familial aspects of Vijay's story.
Director Abhishek Pathak said the intention was to give each song a distinct emotional identity rather than create a soundtrack built around one musical style.
He said Vijay's journey has moved through fear, family, hope, pressure and revenge, and the music needed to reflect those changing emotions.
Pathak also highlighted "Daastaan: The Drishyam Recap" as an important part of the album because it gives audiences a musical look back at the events of the first two films before they enter the final chapter.
Basrur said the recap track brings together the story of Vijay and his family, while Chauhan's vocals provide the emotional intensity required for the song.
Lyricist Aamil Keeyan Khan also praised the collaboration, describing the track as one that combines the intensity of the writing, composition and performance.
*Drishyam: The Conclusion* brings Ajay Devgn back as Vijay Salgaonkar for the next chapter of the franchise.
The film also features Tabu, Shriya Saran, Jaideep Ahlawat, Prakash Raj, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Kamlesh Sawant.
Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film has been written by Pathak along with Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh. It is produced by Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak.
*Drishyam: The Conclusion* is scheduled to release in cinemas worldwide on October 2, 2026.
