Zarina Wahab’s First Look From Vijay Sethupathi-Starrer Slumdog 33 Temple Road Revealed

Zarina will be seen as a character named Zubaida. Director Puri Jagannadh shared her first look on social media, describing the character as someone with a life marked by both love and struggle.

The filmmaker also announced that a special glimpse of Zarina’s character will be released at 10 AM on September 29.

The film stars Vijay Sethupathi in the lead and has already generated considerable curiosity among moviegoers with its character reveals. The makers recently introduced another important character played by Tabu.

Tabu portrays Gowri Hegde, a Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax. In the previously released character glimpse, she is presented as a fearless and commanding officer. The video features her confronting and threatening people, including a scene involving Vijay Sethupathi’s character.

The glimpse also highlights Gowri’s no-nonsense attitude, with the character making it clear that she is not someone who hesitates before taking action.

Slumdog 33 Temple Road has been in production since July last year, and the makers have confirmed that principal photography has now been completed. Post-production work is currently underway across the film’s various language versions. Puri Jagannadh had earlier shared the film’s title poster, which featured Vijay Sethupathi sporting sunglasses while holding a bloodied machete.

He was pictured standing among wooden boxes filled with currency notes, offering a glimpse into the film’s action-heavy world.

The film is being produced by Puri Jagannadh under the Puri Connects banner, with Charmme Kaur presenting the project alongside JB Motion Pictures and JB Narayan Rao Kondrolla.

Samyuktha plays the female lead opposite Vijay Sethupathi, while Kannada actor Duniya Vijay and Tabu feature in pivotal roles. Brahmaji and VTV Ganesh are also part of the supporting cast.

Samyuktha’s character is expected to play an important role in the story, with the makers suggesting that the part offers considerable scope for both emotional depth and performance.

The music for the film has been composed by National Award-winning composer Harshavardhan Rameshwar, known for his work on films including Arjun Reddy and Animal.

Slumdog 33 Temple Road is being planned as a pan-India release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.
