Revanth Reddy, Pawan Kalyan and Other Leaders Condole Nana Patekar's Demise

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan have expressed grief over the death of veteran actor Nana Patekar and remembered his contribution to Indian cinema.
Revanth Reddy paid tribute to Patekar as an accomplished actor, director and theatre artist, saying his powerful performances and natural style had left a lasting impression on both Hindi and Marathi cinema.
The Telangana Chief Minister described Patekar's death as a major loss for the Indian film fraternity and conveyed his condolences to the actor's family, friends and admirers, while praying for his soul to rest in peace.
Pawan Kalyan also expressed his condolences in a post on X, describing Patekar as an exceptional performer who brought depth and authenticity to the characters he portrayed.
"I convey my deepest condolences on the passing of renowned actor Shri Nana Patekar Ji. I pray to the Almighty for his soul to rest in peace and convey my heartfelt sympathies to his family and loved ones," the Jana Sena leader said.
Pawan Kalyan recalled Patekar's performances in films including *Krantiveer*, *Parinda*, *Khamoshi*, *Tirangaa*, *Agni Sakshi*, *Natsamrat*, *Ab Tak Chhappan* and *Apaharan*, describing them as among the memorable works of his career.
He also highlighted Patekar's association with the Indian Army and his service to the country, saying they reflected the actor's sense of patriotism and commitment.
Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy also expressed sorrow over Patekar's death.
"Deeply saddened by the passing of Nana Patekar Ji. His remarkable contribution to Indian cinema and his versatile performances will always be remembered," Jagan Mohan Reddy said in a post on X.
Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy said Patekar's powerful performances, distinctive voice and contribution to Indian cinema had earned him a special place among audiences.
Kishan Reddy also recalled the actor's involvement in social causes, saying his compassion and commitment to such issues reflected his connection with society.
"His passing is an irreparable loss to the world of cinema and to all who admired his work. My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and countless admirers. May his soul rest in peace," he said.
Congress MP Kiran Kumar Chamala also expressed grief, saying Patekar's performances, distinctive voice and contribution to Hindi and Marathi cinema had made him an unforgettable figure in Indian cinema.
"His legacy will continue to inspire generations. My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and countless admirers. May his soul rest in peace," Chamala said.
