Ranbir Kapoor celebrates his birthday with Sanjay Leela Bhansali & 'Love & War' co-stars

Ranbir Kapoor celebrated his 44th birthday with the team of his upcoming film Love & War, bringing together director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and co-stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal for a special dinner.

Bhansali Productions shared a glimpse of the celebration on its official Instagram account, posting a group photograph featuring Bhansali, Ranbir, Alia and Vicky.

“Today, there’s only Love, no War! Happy birthday Ranbir! Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War on 21st January 2027,” the production house wrote alongside the picture.

The birthday celebration comes as anticipation continues to build around Love & War. The makers have been gradually introducing the principal cast through their first-look posters.

On September 24, the first poster featuring Ranbir was unveiled, showing the actor in a rugged avatar with a blood-stained sleeve and a visible bullet mark on his shirt.

The poster was accompanied by the caption, “Woh rutba, woh raub, woh junoon!” as the makers confirmed the film’s January 2027 release.

Love & War is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and stars Ranbir alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on January 21, 2027, and will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Meanwhile, Ranbir received birthday wishes from across the film industry and his family.

His mother, veteran actress Neetu Kapoor, also marked the occasion with a personal message. Neetu, who affectionately calls her son “Rana”, shared a selfie with him on Instagram Stories.

“Happy happy to you Rana you are mine and I feel blessed,” she wrote, expressing her happiness at having her son in her life.

With the Love & War team coming together for his birthday, Ranbir's special day also offered fans another glimpse of the cast ahead of the film’s theatrical release.
