Raghav Chadha has praised his wife, actress Parineeti Chopra, for her performance in the Netflix mystery thriller *Shaque: Trust No One*, calling the series a gripping watch and applauding her portrayal of Anvita.
Sharing his reaction on social media, Raghav said the suspense kept him engaged throughout the seven-episode series and repeatedly made him question what he thought he knew about the story.
“Shaque had me hooked till the very end. The suspense keeps building, every episode makes you question what you think you know. By the end I only wanted one answer. Who was the kidnapper? The premiere felt even more special with our closest friends and family there with us,” he wrote.
He then singled out Parineeti's performance, saying she had completely inhabited the character of Anvita.
“The whole cast really pulls you into the story, and @parineetichopra, you completely lived Anvita. Proud husband aside, this is a genuinely gripping, nail biting watch. Go watch Shaque on Netflix now!” he added.
*Shaque: Trust No One* also features Jennifer Winget, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Soni Razdan, Anup Soni and Sumeet Vyas. The mystery thriller follows a mother searching for her missing daughter and began streaming on Netflix on September 24.
The series also marked Parineeti's OTT debut. The actress recently revealed that she was pregnant while filming the project and only discovered the pregnancy after production had already begun.
Speaking at the trailer launch, Parineeti said she and Raghav had often joked about how fortunate she felt to have been working with the team behind *Shaque* during that period.
“Raghav and I always joke about this, that thank God I was pregnant on this project with these makers and not on any other film with any other makers. Because we didn’t know beforehand. We found out once the shoot had already begun,” she said.
The actress explained that maintaining professionalism while ensuring the project was not affected was important to her, adding that she felt fortunate to have been working with the show's makers at the time.
She credited Sid, Rensil D’Silva and Sapna with creating an environment in which she felt comfortable during the production.
