Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Friday inaugurated the 15th India Industrial Fair-Udyam 2026 in Gandhinagar, bringing together more than 500 exhibitors from across the country to showcase industrial products.
Organised by Laghu Udyog Bharati, the four-day exhibition is being held at the Helipad Exhibition Centre from October 23 to 26. Spread across 50,000 square metres, the fair features businesses and innovators from more than 12 sectors, with a focus on micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), startups and manufacturing industries.
The event aims to provide a platform for enterprises to explore investment opportunities, establish commercial partnerships and connect with prospective buyers, investors and government representatives.
Exhibitors are displaying a wide range of products and technologies, covering sectors from engineering to handicrafts. The programme also includes business networking sessions, investment discussions, expert guidance and presentations on industrial technologies.
Business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) meetings have been arranged to facilitate direct engagement between companies, potential partners and government officials.
The exhibition seeks to strengthen the MSME ecosystem by helping businesses explore new markets, encourage entrepreneurship and promote innovation. It also aligns with the objectives of the Centre's Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India initiatives.
Following the inauguration, Patel visited various stalls at the exhibition centre to view the products and technologies on display.
Several representatives of Laghu Udyog Bharati and other organisations attended the event, including Prakashchandraji, the organisation's national organisation secretary; Ghanshyam Oza, former national president and Gujarat Prant in-charge; Ishwar Patel, president of its Gujarat Prant; and Hansraj Gajera, general secretary.
Dr Bharat Patel, Gujarat Prant coordinator of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, and Mukesh Malkan, Sangh Chalak of the Saurashtra Prant, were also present, along with other officials, industrialists and organisational representatives, including Rajna Kakkar and Sunil Bhati.
The fair will remain open at the Helipad Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar until October 26, offering participating enterprises opportunities to showcase their capabilities and pursue business collaborations.
