Actor/ Politician Ravi Kishan to star in the upcoming devotional drama

Actor-politician Ravi Kishan is set to headline an upcoming devotional drama presented by Mahaveer Jain Films, marking his second collaboration with the banner after the Kartik Aaryan-starrer *Naagzilla*.

The yet-untitled project will see Kishan in a completely different role, with the story centred around his character and his unique relationship with faith. Written and directed by Amit Aarryan, the film explores the emotional bond between a man and God, with the protagonist viewing God not merely as a divine figure but as his closest friend and someone with whom he shares a deeply personal connection.

Rather than following the conventional template of a devotional film, the makers intend to approach the subject through a mix of humour, emotion and drama. The film is being positioned as an accessible, wholesome family entertainer while retaining its spiritual core.

The project adds another concept-driven title to the slate of Mahaveer Jain Films, which recently delivered the title track of *Yeh Prem Mol Liya* and announced *RamBola*, directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, known for *Hanuman Ansh*.

The film will be presented by Mahaveer Jain Films and produced by Mahaveer Jain Films, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, Vinayak Kumar, Kavin Shah and Shikha K Ahluwalia, along with RatPack Stories’ Vijay Subramanium and Kshitij Mehta.

The film is expected to go on floors in January. The makers are currently in the process of finalising its title, with an official announcement expected once the title is locked.

Kishan has recently been seen in projects including *Mirzapur: The Movie*, *Laapataa Ladies* and *Maamla Legal Hai*. With more than 200 films to his credit, the actor has worked predominantly across Bhojpuri, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada cinema.

He rose to wider prominence with his appearance in the 2003 blockbuster *Tere Naam* before establishing himself as a leading figure in Bhojpuri cinema. His work in the regional industry subsequently propelled him to stardom and established him as one of its prominent leading actors.
