Lucien Laviscount Bids Farewell to Emily in Paris After Five Seasons

After working on Emily in Paris for five seasons, British actor Lucien Laviscount shared an emotional farewell to the Netflix series.

Laviscount shared three images from the final season's sets on Instagram. In retrospect, the actor noted that working on the well-liked show helped him make lifelong friendships.

Looking back at how it all started, Laviscount remembered getting the call about playing Alfie in Emily in Paris from writer Darren Star. With the cast and crew, what was originally supposed to be a two-episode cameo instead became five seasons.

Laviscount congratulated Netflix and, most of all, the audience who stuck with the show throughout its existence as it moves into its next phase. He also said he was eager to see what his former collaborators and co-stars will do next.

Emily in Paris centres on Emily Cooper, portrayed by Lily Collins, an American marketing executive who relocates to Paris after being hired by a French marketing company to provide an American viewpoint. Her experiences balancing her career, relationships, and friendships while acclimating to life in the French capital are explored in the series.

Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, Camille Razat, and William Abadie are among the ensemble cast members.

Before entering British television, Laviscount started his acting career in the early 2000s by making appearances in commercial campaigns. His performance in the teen drama Grange Hill helped him become more well-known, and he also had appearances in Coronation Street and Waterloo Road.

In addition, he has roles in Supernatural: Bloodlines and Episodes, as well as Skins and Shameless. He played Earl Grey in the first season of the horror-comedy series Scream Queens in 2015.

Later, Laviscount played Alexander Cabot in Katy Keene and appeared in the crime comedy-drama Snatch, which was based on the 2000 movie of the same name.

His role as Alfie in Emily in Paris became one of the most recognisable parts of his recent career, with the actor now preparing to move on from the series after five seasons.
