The Indian Embassy in Romania has confirmed that three Indian nationals rescued from the commercial vessel *MV Royad Mammadov* following an attack in the Black Sea are in stable condition and receiving assistance.

An Embassy representative met the three crew members on Wednesday and coordinated arrangements for their welfare and eventual departure from Romania. Two of them are staying at a hotel, while the third is receiving treatment at the County Hospital in Constanța.

The Embassy said it arranged essential items, including mobile phones, through the shipping company's local agent. Indian food was also organised through a local restaurant.

The Embassy representative also met Romanian police officials, the shipping company's agent and doctors treating the injured crew member to coordinate further assistance. The mission said it remains in contact with the relevant authorities and is continuing to provide support.

The development follows an attack on *MV Royad Mammadov* in the Black Sea on Monday, in which two foreign seafarers were killed and several crew members, including three Indians, were injured.

The Ministry of External Affairs condemned the attack and said the injured crew members had been rescued by Romanian authorities and were receiving medical treatment. It also thanked the Romanian authorities for their prompt response.

India expressed concern over attacks targeting commercial vessels and seafarers, warning that violence against shipping in international waters poses a serious threat to global trade and the safety of people working at sea. New Delhi reiterated its call for dialogue and diplomacy to resolve ongoing conflicts.

The Indian Embassy had earlier confirmed that all three Indian nationals were part of the vessel's crew. It said one of them had suffered injuries and was receiving medical attention, while officials remained in close contact with the hospital authorities.

India's Ambassador to Romania, Manoj Mohapatra, also spoke with the Indian nationals at Constanța County Hospital and was informed that their condition was stable.

The Embassy said it would continue coordinating with Romanian authorities and other concerned parties to ensure the welfare and safe return of the three Indian crew members.
