The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has begun sending Diwali greetings and letters of appreciation through WhatsApp to devotees who contributed towards the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
The Trust clarified that the messages and accompanying PDF letters are genuine and are being issued through its official communication channels. The clarification followed queries from devotees who wanted to verify the authenticity of the WhatsApp messages they had received.
In a statement shared on its social media account, the Trust confirmed that the communications were being sent directly by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra.
The letters acknowledge financial contributions made by individuals towards the temple project. Recipients have also been invited to update their personal details through an official portal linked in the communication.
Trust Issues Warning Against Fake Links
Donors can use the portal to update details such as their name, address, mobile number and email address.
The Trust has specifically advised devotees to verify the website address before submitting any personal information. According to its statement, the authorised donor portal link begins with donor.srjbtkshetra.org.
Devotees have been cautioned against accessing or sharing information through links that do not match the official domain, amid concerns about possible phishing attempts and misuse of personal details during the festive season.
The Trust said the initiative was part of its effort to maintain direct communication with the large number of devotees and donors who supported the construction of the temple.
Outreach to Donors During Diwali
The Ram Temple was inaugurated in January 2024, following contributions and public participation from across India and abroad.
Through the Diwali outreach, the Trust aims to express its gratitude to contributors while updating its donor records to ensure that future acknowledgements and communications reach the correct recipients.
The Trust has reiterated that genuine messages will originate from its authorised channels and direct recipients only to its official donor portal. Devotees have been advised to check the link carefully before entering or submitting personal information.
