Rajasthan Revises Panchayat Poll Schedule Ahead of Festive Season
The Rajasthan State Election Commission has revised the schedule for the first three phases of the Panchayati Raj elections, citing religious sentiments and public concerns linked to the festive season and Dhanteras.

The Rajasthan State Election Commission has revised the schedule for the first three phases of the Panchayati Raj elections, citing religious sentiments and public concerns linked to the festive season and Dhanteras.
Under the revised timetable, polling for Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti members, as well as Panch and Sarpanch posts, has been advanced by one day in the first three phases. There is no change in the schedule for the fourth phase.
Polling for Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti members will now be held on October 22, October 28, November 3 and November 14 across the four phases.
For Panch and Sarpanch posts, voting will take place on October 24, October 30, November 5 and November 16, respectively.
Under the earlier schedule, Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti polling was set for October 23, October 29, November 4 and November 14, while voting for Panch and Sarpanch posts was scheduled for October 25, October 31, November 6 and November 16.
For the first phase, polling for Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti members will be conducted on October 22. Nominations for Panch and Sarpanch posts will be filed on October 23, followed by polling on October 24. The Deputy Sarpanch election will be held on October 25.
In the second phase, voting for Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti members will take place on October 28. Nominations for Panch and Sarpanch posts will be filed on October 29, with polling scheduled for October 30. The Deputy Sarpanch election will be held on October 31.
The third phase will see polling for Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti members on November 3. Nominations for Panch and Sarpanch posts will be filed on November 4, followed by voting on November 5. The Deputy Sarpanch election is scheduled for November 6.
The fourth phase remains unchanged. Polling for Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti members will be held on November 14, while voting for Panch and Sarpanch posts will take place on November 16.
The revised timetable follows the State Election Commission's decision to bring forward the first three phases by a day, providing an updated schedule for candidates, election officials and voters ahead of the festive season.
