Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to meet Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, state BJP president Dr Archana Gupta and all 48 BJP MLAs from Haryana in New Delhi on October 3, according to reports.

The meeting is scheduled for the afternoon, with Modi expected to spend around two hours with the legislators. Before meeting the Prime Minister, the MLAs are expected to gather with Saini and Gupta in Delhi and have lunch with the Chief Minister.

The interaction comes amid discussions within the BJP over organisational and political matters in Haryana. The party has also recently appointed former Union Minister Smriti Irani as its Haryana in-charge, replacing Satish Poonia.

The meeting is also taking place against the backdrop of the ongoing political debate over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Reports said the issue could figure in discussions, along with the political situation in Haryana and feedback from legislators on the functioning of the state government and implementation of welfare schemes.

However, Haryana BJP president Archana Gupta has indicated that the meeting was planned independently of the current SIR controversy. Reports said she had sought an interaction between the Prime Minister and the state's legislators after taking charge as the state party chief, with the meeting subsequently fixed for October 3.

The BJP currently has 48 MLAs in the 90-member Haryana Assembly. The meeting will bring the state government's political leadership and the party's legislators together with the Prime Minister for discussions on organisational and governance-related matters.

The interaction comes as the BJP continues its organisational preparations in Haryana following the recent leadership changes in the state unit. Gupta took charge as Haryana BJP president in June 2026.
