A young man died after falling from the 43rd floor of the Supernova complex in Noida's Sector 94 on Saturday, with police investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The incident took place at the Aspire Tower within the Supernova development. Police reached the spot after receiving information about the fall and began an investigation into the circumstances leading up to the death.
The man's identity has not yet been officially disclosed, and the reason behind the incident remains unclear.
According to media reports citing an air-conditioning technician who was reportedly present at the scene, the young man may have spoken about being depressed before the fall. The account has not been independently verified by authorities.
Reports also said the man had been staying at an Airbnb accommodation in the Supernova complex.
A video purporting to show the incident has circulated widely on social media. Authorities have not publicly confirmed details surrounding the recording.
Police are examining available evidence and statements as part of the investigation.
In a separate incident last month, a first-year MCA student was found dead at his residence in Greater Noida's Sector Alpha-2. Police identified the student as Abhishek, son of Umesh Chandra and a resident of Kasganj district.
Abhishek had reportedly moved to Noida about a month before the incident and was pursuing his first-year MCA course through online classes.
Police and a Forensic Science Laboratory team examined the scene before the body was sent for post-mortem examination. Officials said the circumstances behind that death were also under investigation at the time.
