Missing UP Doctor Found Dead Inside Car on Eastern Peripheral Expressway
The body of a 30-year-old doctor who had been reported missing in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad was found inside a car parked on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, police said on Thursday.

The body of a 30-year-old doctor who had been reported missing in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad was found inside a car parked on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, police said on Thursday.
Dr Shivam Kartikeya, a resident of VVIP Mangal Society in Rajnagar Extension, had reportedly gone missing from the area under the jurisdiction of Nandgram police station. His family had lodged a missing person report on September 29, following which police began searching for him.
Police said Dial-112 received information around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday that a car with a UK registration number had remained parked at the same location on the expressway for a prolonged period and that a body could be seen inside the vehicle.
A police team from Muradnagar reached the spot and inspected the car, where they found a man dead inside. The body was subsequently taken into custody and sent for post-mortem examination.
Police identified the deceased as Dr Shivam Kartikeya, son of Gopal Swaroop.
ACP Muradnagar Sunil Kumar said no visible injury marks had been found on the body and that the post-mortem examination would be necessary to establish the cause of death.
“The deceased has been identified as Dr Shivam Kartikeya. No injury marks were found on the body. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination,” the officer said.
Police are questioning the doctor’s family and gathering information about his disappearance while examining the circumstances surrounding his death.
Officials said no conclusion has been reached regarding the cause or circumstances of the death so far. Further action will be taken on the basis of the post-mortem findings and evidence collected during the investigation.
