Congress MP Shashi Tharoor and BJP MP Dilip Saikia were also present at the meeting.
In a post on X, Birla said the discussions reaffirmed the longstanding ties between the two countries, which have been shaped by shared cultural heritage and Buddhist traditions.
He highlighted opportunities to deepen parliamentary engagement and explore cooperation in trade, industry, information technology and AI. He also stressed the importance of ensuring that technological advancements benefit humanity and contribute to public welfare.
Birla said the exchanges would further strengthen the parliamentary partnership and bring renewed momentum to the relationship between the two countries.
