A major fire broke out at a factory in the Tronica City industrial area of Loni in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad district early Wednesday morning. No casualties have been reported.
The fire erupted at Kumar Packers, located at Plot No. D-4 in Sector B-3. The Loni fire station received information about the incident around 4:24 a.m., after which it immediately dispatched three fire tenders.
Firefighters arriving at the site found that the blaze had engulfed the entire first floor of the three-and-a-half-storey factory building. Employees were also attempting to control the flames using the firefighting equipment available on the premises.
Given the scale of the fire, additional fire tenders were called in from Vaishali, Sahibabad and Khekra in neighbouring Baghpat district.
Fire Brought Under Control After Three-and-a-Half Hours
Fire personnel launched operations from multiple sides, laying water lines through the building's staircase and across the roof of an adjoining factory.
After approximately three-and-a-half hours of firefighting, the blaze was brought under control at around 7:30 a.m. with the assistance of six fire tenders.
Officials subsequently cleared materials stored inside the factory to reach and extinguish any remaining smouldering embers.
According to the fire department, the factory's ground floor was used for manufacturing cardboard, while the first floor housed production activities involving items such as car perfumes.
No injuries have been reported. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown, and an investigation is underway. Local police were also present at the site during the firefighting operation.
