Continuing his exclusive conversation with 4thWallNetwork, Mr Shriraj Nair, VHP spokesperson and joint secretary for Mumbai to Goa (Konkan), spoke about the political climate and the government’s response to the CJP.

Mr Nair expressed confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ability to handle the situation, alleged the protests were intended to disrupt law and order, and argued that a small group of demonstrators could not represent India’s youth. He also appealed to young Indians to contribute to the nation, Dharma and Indian civilisation.**

### Mr Nair Says Modi Government Can Handle the Situation

Discussing the ongoing political developments, Mr Nair said he believed Prime Minister Narendra Modi could handle the situation. He suggested that the government might have been assessing the developments before deciding on its response.

Mr Nair warned that if the alleged attempts to create disorder continued, those responsible would face strict action. He said no one had the right to assault police personnel or journalists covering protests.

According to Mr Nair, attacks on law enforcement officials and journalists, if established, could not be justified as part of democratic demonstrations. He alleged that the activities surrounding CJP were intended to create a nuisance and push the administration towards a breakdown of law and order.

Mr Nair argued that political disagreements must be expressed within the boundaries of the law and that protests should not be allowed to interfere with the safety of citizens or the functioning of public institutions.

### ‘A Few Thousand Protesters Do Not Represent India’s Youth’

Mr Nair also questioned the extent to which the protesters represented the views of young Indians. Referring to Abhijeet Dipke and those associated with CJP, he described the group as misguided and alleged that its members were attempting to mobilise young people for disruptive political activities.

Mr Nair questioned what CJP was offering young people that would persuade them to leave their jobs, studies and professional responsibilities to participate in protests.

He argued that India’s youth population was far larger and more diverse than the number of people participating in the demonstrations. In his view, a few thousand protesters could not speak for an entire generation.

Mr Nair also claimed that many demonstrators belonged to particular communities, while others came from different communities. He maintained that their participation did not establish that they represented the views of young people across the country.

These were Mr Nair’s assessments of the protests and their participants; the wider views of Indian youth cannot be determined from the demonstrations alone.

### Mr Nair Alleges an Attempt to Destabilise Law and Order

Continuing his criticism of CJP, Mr Nair alleged that the organisation and its associates were attempting to create disorder rather than engage in peaceful democratic protest.

He claimed that such activities were designed to disrupt public life and undermine law enforcement. Mr Nair predicted that the movement would lose momentum as its activities came under greater scrutiny, although this remains his assessment.

Mr Nair said he was confident that the government would take appropriate action against individuals found to have broken the law. He argued that those responsible for violence or deliberate disruption should be held accountable through the legal system.

His comments came amid broader disagreements over the distinction between peaceful political protest and activities that may violate public-order laws. The allegations concerning CJP and its members would require independent verification and should be assessed on the available evidence.

### Mr Nair’s Message to India’s Youth

Towards the end of the interview, Mr Nair was asked what message he would like to communicate to young Indians in his capacity as a national spokesperson of the VHP.

Mr Nair said he did not wish to lecture the country’s youth, whom he described as intelligent, responsible and aware of their role in nation-building. Instead, he appealed to young people to make a contribution to the country regardless of their chosen careers or professional commitments.

“Whatever you do, whatever career options you have, whatever you do for a living, just make sure you give some time for the nation, for Dharma, for the cows, for the Sanskriti, for your civilisation, for making Bharat a Vishwaguru,” Mr Nair said.

He also referred to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat, invoking the idea that India has much to contribute to humanity.

Mr Nair’s appeal centred on his belief that national development involves more than professional success. He urged young Indians to devote some of their time and efforts to the country’s cultural traditions, civilisational heritage and broader social responsibilities.

### Mr Nair Calls for National Responsibility and Respect for Democratic Institutions

Concluding the conversation with 4thWallNetwork, Mr Nair reiterated that India’s democratic institutions and electoral processes should be respected. He argued that governments elected by the people should be allowed to function peacefully, while political opposition should operate through lawful and democratic means.

Mr Nair maintained that young Indians had an important role to play in shaping the country’s future and urged them to balance their personal ambitions with a sense of responsibility towards the nation.

The second part of the interview focused on Mr Nair’s views on CJP, the government’s handling of the protests, the responsibilities of political organisations and the role of young people in India’s democratic and cultural life.
